It’s been about a year since Sean, Amy, and I got together to photograph their engagement photos, but 1) I couldn’t NOT show you one of my high school/college best friend’s engagement photos and 2) I’m heading down to Grand Rapids this week, so this session has me all excited to go back again!
Sean and I go back to about middle school. It wasn’t until mid-high school though when we would hang out at my parents’ house, sitting crossed legged playing guitar hero for hours on end. We were in drama club together, and we tended to be in a majority of the same classes. Come college, we both attended Northern Michigan University and just so happened to major in biology together, graduating at the same time as well.
Sean and Amy met at NMU. Amy is from the Lake Michigan side of Michigan’s lower peninsula, and after college, they moved together to the Detroit area on the eastern side of the state. We chose to get together in Grand Rapids as a central point between the two locations. Plus, Amy is an incredibly talented artist. With Grand Rapids being a mecca of murals and other various art installations, it was clearly a great fit.
We probably broke some parking rules going to this mural (we get one-way streets, but this area is weird, haha!). Either way, worth it.
I love you guys! I’ll be blogging your wedding soon too! :)
