Kris and Brianna are high school sweethearts that met via track and cross country. Since now graduating college, they've made a big move from the U.P. for laid-back, beautiful North Carolina where both of their careers flourish. Recently they invited me to their new home in the town of Fuquay to capture their lives in the South before their September wedding back up North in Houghton, Michigan.
We began their engagement session at the Tobacco Campus in Durham:
From Durham, we cruised over to Raleigh to capture a little more of the city vibe. We stopped into a hip distillery, The Whiskey Kitchen, to warm up with a drink or two to escape the winds whipping through the towering buildings outside. Being the middle of the day too, we made another stop at an amazing pizza joint called Pizza la Stella. We couldn't help but to laugh when on our way out when our waitress sent us of saying, "make sure you bundle up! It sure is a tundra out there!" It was nearly 50 degrees. We're all so used to the winter temperatures of the UP, haha!!
We made our last stop at Yates Mill... where we soaked up the golden last few rays of sunset through the barely budding trees that made for the dreamiest of photos...
Thanks for having me, Brianna + Kris! Can't wait to rock your September wedding with you!
