As if you weren’t already excited for summer, Alexa’s senior portraits will bring you all the warm, sunny vibes! Alexa began her session with vibrant, floral off-the-shoulder blouse. A common misconception that some of my clients initially seem to have is that pattern is bad. While it’s true that more simple shirts and outfits make it easier to focus on the subject, rules are meant to be broken! We chose a location that was primarily full of greenery, from the grass to the cascading tree background. This meant that most of the background of Alexa’s photos would be simple and monochromatic, so pattern made the photos fun and lively!
Alexa paired colored denim skinny jeans with a flowy kimono. Fun, stylish, and hello, movement! Having movement to an outfit is a photographer’s dream. Anyone who’s ever worked with me knows I love long utilizing hair to capture movement in photos, but add a flowy outfit piece too, and boom, magic!
Alexa’s primary request was to take pictures along her family’s property on Second Sand beach. She absolutely nailed her outfit again with a bright, floral romper and beachy sun hat!
