Where do I begin with Matt & Katie... working with their entire crowd was an absolute dream!
Matt and Katie both have such light, optimistic spirits. They're love is 100% blissful, and it leaked through their smiles and laughter all day long. The days preluding the wedding were frigid and dreary, but as unpredictable as Michigan's UP can be, we were given sunshine and perfect picnic weather! No bugs, just a lovely cool breeze off of Lake Superior. In lieu of taking a party bus around downtown Marquette, Matt and Katie opted to cruise around Lower Harbor instead via The Pelican! This gave us the chance to get a little more up close and personal with the ore dock and lighthouses, and that lighting! With the boat being white and being surrounded by water, the light reflected beautifully - swoon. Matt and Katie had to out-do themselves again and rather than file into the reception tent for a typical grand march, they arrive via the Pelican and danced together for the first time as husband and wife on the bow of the boat for all of their loved ones to see. Their reception venue was right at the Superior Yacht Yard and Rock Theatre, giving us easy access to dreamy sailboat photos at golden hour. Katie and Matt were up for all of my spontaneous ideas (you bet there was a duck involved), and let me steal them from the dance floor an extra time or two ;)
Make the most of your happily ever after, Matt & Katie!
